Got new 2011 maps

I just purchased a 2007 CPO E92. Unfortunately, I was not thinking when I bought the car and I didn't negotiate for them to update the map disk. It still has the 2007 map.

So I pulled the trigger on the new maps but my car wont recognize the west coast map disk. The east coast one loads fine. Very weird. Had dealer look at it briefly but said I'd need a tech to diagnos it.

Any ideas? I have read about software updatesm but if thats the case, neither disk should work.

I'm a little apprehensive about having them do a software update (if thats even the issue) because I've read a lot of negative comments.

Oh and its not the disk itself, as they gave me two different sets of them to try. Both were the same, east coast disk works, west coast doesn't recognize it.

Link doesnt work. Also many of us are looking for the CCC Pro version. One guy is quick to post links where you can buy ripped copies. He has done it on like 4 threads now. I am starting to think it is his own site.

Torrents are out there if you look.

I've just tried UK 2011 and it works to a point but copies seem slow to operate on search etc,I personally will be buying a genuine disc as its just hassle with copies IMO.

Yup. GPSUnderground has had the European Pro CCC disks for quite awhile now. North American maps are the ones I can't find.

Eject the DVD, remove the key, wait about 15 minutes, then insert the new DVD.

From what I remember the car remembers the version of the DVD when the car's computer boots. If you put in another DVD with a different version you get that error.

I put new 2010 map on my 2006 and it did tell me to eject the DVD and wait 15 minutes...

Instead, I manually rebooted the iDrive... holding 2 eject buttons and volume button and it recognized the 2010 map.
