Gas Pedal Mod

I greatly improved the driveability of my 2009 328i 6 speed by glueing (carpet tape) a plastic piece to cover the carpet here the gas pedal moves. My year 2000 328i came from the factory with a similar plastic cover - I wonder why the 2009 didn't.

I don't get it?
Just easer for the side of your foot to rub on the side?

I guess my foot is not that big, I don't rub on the side.

The first picture doesn't show up. I also don't get it... was your foot rubbing against the carpet and making it difficult to control? Mine is fine... E46 was the same, no plastic cover needed.

Yes, my shoe was rubbing against the carpet. It really helped adding the plastic peice.
Checked the photo link - the ":" appears to be there. Thanks for checking.
