Underbody anti rust coating
Salt is all over Toronto during winter time. - I just got a 2011 328xi and it's not lease. so it needs special care.
Are you guys planning to do anti rust coating for your cars? If you've done where did you go? Canadian tire or BMW dealer? Last edited by aladdinAndMagicBmw; 12-07-2010 at 02:01 PM.. |

I will do mine next year...
A lot of ppl here will suggest not to do it. Try searching "rust" or "rust proofing" Never go to Crappy Tire or BMW dealer for rust proofing. Go to Krown or somewhere reputable.

So you guys decided to go to Krown? Can you divulge which one? Theres one in pickering by me, but I dont know if they do the spray. Speaking of which, is it the oil spray or the that thick tar layer you're getting done? Are they just doing the undercarriage or the engine bay and jams as well?
Ive seen my friends engine bays after getting this done and it is naaaasty sticky. It gets worse when dirt gets stuck in it. I'm thinking about just getting the undercarriage done. |

Got my undercarriage done at Krown. I told them NO DRILLING. Otherwise they'll drill a hole in the inside of your door panels so they can spray the inside of the door with Krown too. Krown is the oil, not the thick tar. The Krown place I went to was at 33 Parliament Street, Toronto.

Should this be done every year? My car is 2 years old and never been rust proofed. Will I be ok for another couple of years or rust proof it now?
When they spray, they don't spray anything on the body of the car, right? I've already done my winterize exterior cleaning/sealing and wouldn't want to mess that up now. |
