How come this is only for 135?

http://www.**********s.com/aFe-Axle-...W-E82-135i.htm

doesnt make sense, wouldnt it fit our cars too? essentially your cutting off the piping and replacing it with this one. I like this one because theres no muffler but the resonator helps keep the noise to a bearable tone not an obnoxious loud roar.

Yeah, too bad. I would jump on a new exhaust for around $550 except the pipes stick out a bit much for my taste.

Most aftermarket exhaust tips stick out too far. If you get one I recommend getting an aftermarket diffuser because it helps it sit more flush.

I assume the tubing is routed differently and the hangers are in different places.

The exhaust systems on the 2 cars are different. Even the BMW Performance exhausts for the 2 cars are not the same.

I think it has to do with the differing loudness between the two engines (FI vs NA) and the 135i actually requiring more resonance or something. I don't really know too much about exhausts, but I know if you get the BMW PE for the 128i it's just a muffler, whereas for the 135i it's a muffler and resonator. Also, I've heard some people have gotten 135i exhausts to work on their 128i but they had to have some custom work down to get the fitment to work. The plumbing is just different.

i searched for a 2011 model exhaust as mine is a 2011. lol never mind the other websites could in fact be selling legit magnaflows or magnaflow replicas maybe. i take my statement back.. i wonder if 2011 exhaust piping and layout is different then other models... probably no right?
