Lightbulb 60K Service Maintenance

Ok, so I've read a lot of topics regarding what to change/do at the 60k mark. In my case I just bought the car and its at 59.5K so I am thinking about doing prev maintenance more than anything.

Anyways, this is a list from what I gathered on the different threads:
  • Air filter - I have aftermarket cones so no go on this
  • In Cabin filter - In my case 64319142115 or 64319142114
  • Brake fluid - Get it at the dealer or is there something better?
  • trans fluid - Read quite a bit of debate on this (regarding not touching if you are going to get rid of the car before 100k or just doing it at around 50k to prevent wear)
  • dif fluid - Get it at the dealer or something else (redline, etc?)
  • all belts - In my case I only see the AC/pwr steering belt 11287568247
  • Water Pump - Read quite a bit on this, and most say to replace when it fails. But it turns out my thermo is bad and I ordered a new one (on its way) so I'm thinking about just replacing the pump as well and having both parts new. Opinions? 11517563659 in my case
  • Alum screws for Water Pump - 11510392553

So am I missing something or is it all there?

And on another note, anyone have one of these? Sounds like a good idea to replace: Aluminum Water Pump Pulley (http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/ES18...055/ES1892054/)

Thanks!

Different folks have said BMW OEM is either Castrol LMA or ATE TYPE 200 (amber). Castrol LMA is available at common parts stores, ATE, you may have to visit a specialty store. Stay away from the "racing" fluids" as they tend to be very hydroscopic and won't last the scheduled change of two years.
  • trans fluid - Read quite a bit of debate on this (regarding not touching if you are going to get rid of the car before 100k or just doing it at around 50k to prevent wear)
6AT? BMW says 100K miles. ZF says 80K km to 120K km, or 8 years, based on extreme loads or conditions. This data is published, everything else is opinion and debate.
  • dif fluid - Get it at the dealer or something else (redline, etc?)
Your choice, I found the OEM fill cheaper at the local Range Rover dealer.
  • all belts - In my case I only see the AC/pwr steering belt 11287568247
The belt doesn't seem to be an issue, I am still on the original.
  • Water Pump - Read quite a bit on this, and most say to replace when it fails. But it turns out my thermo is bad and I ordered a new one (on its way) so I'm thinking about just replacing the pump as well and having both parts new. Opinions? 11517563659 in my case

Spark plugs? Have they been changed? BMW states 45K and most folks concur before 60Kmiles

This would be a awesome paper weight. Not badmouthing the quality of the part, but the E9x uses an electric water pump attached to the electronic controlled thermostat. The serpentine belt only drives the AC and Steering pump as you pointed out
Thanks!
My comments in Blue
EDIT: Sorry, didn't notice your location was Panama. What I assumed to be easily acquired fluids i.e. just down the road, may not be the case with you.

Hey! thanks for the reply!

I was recommended P/N 81220142156 for brake fluid (2 bottles of that) by Tischer.

I'm 6MT and guess I'll leave it alone until 80-90K if I even get there (I usually put 15,000kms in a year since everything is so close here).

Dif fluid I'm gonna have to ask at BMW but is there a specific rating or something I should get?

Spark plugs, that's something I left out, 12120037244 is the P/N that shows up @ 17.87 each Tischer but ebay has them at a better price. Strange how I can't find them at the usual spark plug websites (sparkplugs.com, ngk spark plug locator, etc)

And yeah, I had confused myself with the M54 and N45 engines for that pulley, hahaha, my bad!

Rear Diff is 75W-90.

On the manual transmission, this from BMW:
Quote:
F. From Model Year 2006 all vehicles equipped with a manual transmission and the N52, N54 engines require the MTFLT-
3 long-term fluid. Refer to label on transmission, if label is missing enter vin number into EPC to acquire a new label
with fluid description.
MTF-LT-3
BMW P/N 83 22 0 409 878
No oil change is required for the entire service life of these transmissions.
