e92 ALARM

i will be getting my car on may, and my dealer told me that a alarm is needed....he is giving me a deal here
650$CDN installed ....is it a good deal or not?

EWWWW 800>??? from auto west? or other dealer???
one of my frd told me, auto west charged him 750+installion fee for the alarm@_@

Why is it needed, did he specify why?
I've heard of security issues with the E9x's, something to do with CA apparently.

Sorry just rechecked my invoice, yeh about $795 installed from autowest . So yeah 650+install is a hell of a deal. I dont see why not you should'nt not get it, realy is a must have.

yeah it was 795 at autowest for me as well.

check Brian Jessel - believe they charge around $500. I had my installed for $595 in Victoria. It works nicely with CA.

Alternatively, if you like playing with the car yourself, you can just buy an alarm from a US dealer for around USD220.

It should take you little time to install it. It's "plug and play" but requires taking off the rear wheel. You'll then need to activate it at a dealer - 1hr labour charge (around CAD100?).
