JB Betrayal....!

After 4 years/75K (07 e92 35i 6MT) and every JB Product ever to be released installed in the car I decided to try the Pro....! (Sorry T )

I Did drive few cars w' the procede and felt like the power was just as much as the JB or even more but the "HOW" the power was delivered was all a new feeling for me.

I had gotten used to the JB power delivery. now that I am thinking about it, it kinda felt like a G35 sedan. No matter how smooth you tried to apply that throttle the car always jerked forward like a bat out of hell .
It def makes a great first impression but it wears off fast.

Anyways, like I said
I just got it with the trade in program and unfortunately won't be able to install it for another week, heading to NY for work.

Some things have me a bit puzzled.

There's def more going on in here than the JB, must be all those extra features .

1) Do I need to purchase the remote map switching box?

2) I watched the Video for the V3 Rev 2 Install on the vishnutuning.com
And it did not say anything about the red wire that I have a Q mark next to it :/

3) This is a minor issue. But how come there are no written directions with step by step pictures of how the installation will progress ?
The cheaper JB3 Had it all included, What if I can't get online...

Review to come once installed and adapted.

red wire is a meth flow input 0-5V from a flow sensor in your meth kit (if you decide to get one)...otherwise, just leave it alone..v3 rev 2 video still applies

The item you have labeled as "CANBUS" is not canbus... its just the serial port for updating maps,datalogging,etc...

the canbus is in the harness with everything else... it doesn't require you to hook anything up.

Congrats on the purchase

Congrats on the new tune

The pic above shows an old pre-meth flow input harness. I'll have to update it today. But it should be of some help. Although probably not any more than the others that responded to you already.

Ok, Back to Q #1

remote map switching (box)

What does it do?

Benefits over having it and not?

Will I be able to switch maps from the cruise control handle with out it?

The remote switching box is obsolete now that you can switch maps with cruise control stalk (and DTC button). We haven't included them with our Procedes in over a year.

It is no longer necessary now that you can switch maps via the DTC or cruise control stalk. Leave it out.

Edit: Shiv is too fast for me!

Will soon have an option for those who don't have cruise control. You will be able to enter a special mode which will allow you use the buttons on the steering wheel for navigation.

It's all in the fingers(that's what she says)........Try double clicking the button a bit slower when you press the DTC button. This way it won't interfere with the DTC/DSC setting. Single pressing the button still switches DTC/DSC setting normally and without any map switch interference. I never had a problem.

and if u want turn OFF both dtc and dsc u press and hold button wont it mixes with map switching...anyways all new stuf that shiv is going to release on steering wheel with buttons would help a lot and would be more comfortabile we wont need to leave hands from our wheel
