Wish they made a similar engine cover for the 335i. That is nice looking.

A friend and I both do our own carbon fiber work, we were inthe same polymer science program up at Western; He went his way, I went mine, I have a vacuum bag machine and he has a big autoclave sowe workd together a lot. He has a business making carbon and kevlar parts for Lexus's but he also makes parts forBoeing AND the military so the stuff he does is top notch. He did me a solid for the engine cover and intake manifold cover, next thing I'm looking to do is the entire actual intake manifold, and the cover of the radiator core support, both things I've never seen done ^_^

Very cool. Didn't know they were custom...even better.

I see Evolution Raceworks has a cf engine cover for the 335i that looks pretty nice. I just got the Dinan CAI and got bit a little by the cf bug....just in the engine bay though.

That's even more impressive now. I had just assumed that you bought the parts somewhere. The fact that you two were able to start a business from something you actually learned in school is MOST impressive! Good shit indeed.

Thanks man ^_^ I actually work in airframe structural composites at Boeing on the 787 for the day job, but I dable with composites on the side. It's neat to have custom handmade stuff on your toy, expecially stuff you did yourself! My current project is finding a way to swivel mount my ipad so the driver and passenger can use it ergonomically AND so it looks OEM and seemless! I hate fiddeling with my ipod touch in the car, thought I would figure out a solution, might have pics and a prototype by christmas!
