they must be busy...i know they had SEMA this month.
However, we have been getting the run around on the cf trunk ahd hood preorders. I believe we paid around the middle of July. Then the due date came and they said they were a week behind, then two. then a month and the last update said they were packing things up the week of 11/8 and they would be shipping this week. Well its Thurs and no response. I've tried PMing them and they havent responded. Yet I saw they were online to make a picture thread of their car......

I wouldnt get too worried. iCarbon is a solid company thats growth and popularity was so rapid that a small independent company has difficulty keeping up with at times. There is a lot more that goes into production of pieces and testing then the normal general public realizes.
yes, it is tough sometimes to wait and after you pay you want your stuff...i completely understand. But dont worry, they will deliver an exceptional product (not to mention at a great intro pricing for those who ordered in that deal). Lets be patient and continue to support our vendors. Ps..I always had better luck calling iCarbon than email.

The problem with all this is that these company's have been doing a spotty job of keeping us the consumers up to speed with what is going on. It is the same old, same old when it comes to GB's.
Maddad was the exception..he kept us updated when they were delays AND explained why there was a delay.... |

Here's my 2 cent...
I for one think iCarbon's products are by far one of the elite. Their customer service is actually pretty good considering the size of their company. Their ETA for their products are complete polar opposite. I understand that there are delays, stuff happens and of course you learn from them and make sure it doesnt happen again. ADREAN8J pointed out an excellent observation. Pretty much all group buys are the same, the products gets hyped, a certain time line is established and the inevitable delays. This isn't a direct knock at iCarbon because all vendors who participate in GB does this. Maybe its just a GB curse... You see, this is what going to happen, iCarbon will give a detail explanation shortly about the delays. Clarifying that they are here to make excellent products. At the end of the day all they want to do is to avoid any instances were users are unhappy with their final products. Then they will give us another time line. We then all would commend them for their honestly and move on... The irony is that other vendors can make similiar products FASTer but the quality is so bad that if you think about it, its probably better to wait it out. Especially if you are spending $$$$ |

I total agree with above. Well put.
Also, i'm pretty sure iCarbon is not making the parts themselves. they are coming from overseas somewhere. They cannot control those delays, just a better relay of information to us would be appreciated. Also, some preorders will not authorize your $$ until the item ships. In this case my card was charged the day I placed the order.

I bought a carbon diffuser from them awhile ago when they had the GB on them, waited 3 months over the deadline, then there was the saga of finding a box to put it in,then when i get it i find it was a version 1 when i was told we would get version 2,the weave was all over the place and now i find after a few months there is blotches or water marks all over it that do not come off,not a good product in my view.
A friend has the bmw performance one and it is perfect, wish i had paid a little more and got that one instead, just thought the GB was a good idea at the time,i cant even be bothered sending it back with all the trouble i had getting it in the first place, might just get it painted black ,thats my experience anyway. |

just enjoy your holiday! trust me, they are doing all they can to get the stuff out to everyone. Small company + quality parts + high demand = delay sometimes

Correction: Small company + quality parts + high demand = delays inevitable, initial ETA is almost always BS, always add 6-12 months to the initial ETA, KEEP IT REAL |

Dont take this the wrong way but you can always ask for a refund. However, you are the one losing out because they will inevitably find someone to replace your slot and the money you deposited would be returned without any interests... Its a lose lose situation for you...

I don't know why everyone is jumping to defend iCarbon. I PMed them over a week ago about buying some CF parts, not just grills or solely small parts either, expensive big stuff like a hood, plus grills and maybe splitters.
Over a week later, and no reply whatsoever. They're not getting my business. Waiting several months for small parts such as grills and a license plate frame is inexcusable. Even if they're waiting on someone else for the parts, the lack of communication is unacceptable. Shame on iCarbon. They make excellent looking, perfect fitting parts, but that's no excuse for this treatment.

I also dont see the need to defend poor customer service response time.
A bunch of you might swear by them and say they are really cool peeps but still there is no excuse for not informing the customer. I know plenty of aftermarket companies just like icarbon and i do swear by them but i will not defend them if they are going weeks, even months without at least sending the customer a quick email. If they are great as you guys claim and are always running into delays like this then this means business is doing well for them no? well, why not hire someone whos sole purpose is to keep customers in the loop? Just my 2cents, i dont mean to offend anyone....I am just looking at it from a consumers point of view and whats been posted so far.

Members in this forum are fustrated, but what else can you do? Ask for a refund after waiting 6 months? After 6 months of holding my $ for investment to produce a product and to sell it to a new member who didnt wait a day for even more $$$? I dont think you are offending anyone, but the truth is, they are the ONLY vendor here that makes quality product, so we put up with their delays and the lack of response. |

^^ Thats the response I wanted to see.
"but the truth is, they are the ONLY vendor here that makes quality product, so we put up with their delays and the lack of response." This should of been said in all the iCarbon threads about delays i have read. straight and to the point.

I can't feel bad for anyone that is or has dealt with iCarbon because they were never up to speed EVER with any of thier products, updates, pics, etc. Maybe one day they will be a good company, but I swear they owe everything to the people they led on and on and on.
It's called trying to start a company with no capital. I bet they've lost merchant account after merchant account dealing with chargebacks and unhappy customers. No one should need carbon that bad.
