what if the hose popped?

i found out one of the hose popped from the front stock DV, the hose end connected to the intake pipe was popped, definitely i was hearing a "psssi" sound right after a WOT and lift off the gas real quick. other than that, what could be done to the car?

please discard the yellow arrow, its just a pic reference.

would that cause any boost leak or loss of power if that hose wasn't connected secure?

Basically just venting the dv to atmosphere pressure. No boost leak or power lost.

The engine will suck in unfiltered air if that hose pops off, but it should'nt be an issue if you discovered it fast enough.
If the hose have been poped off for a long while, there could be a problem though.

thanks.. cuz i just realized that "pssiiiii" sound for about 2 weeks so i know that is not normal. so there shouldn't be any ill-effect besides the "BOV wanna-be" sound...
i popped it back in tonight and i love how quiet it is now =)
