Fuel leak MOT failure
all,
i know there have been a few posts on this, but wondering whether anyone has had the work done free of charge without a warranty via BMW uk. I filled her up prior to going to the mot test station today. saw some leakage dripping onto the tank. suspect it only happens when its full. have to say never noticed any strong smells before. It appears to be a known issue with the piping when it fills. its a 55 e90 330i se. any help appreciated |

Ok, guess that is a no then. It appears to be a problem when it is brimmed. So be careful folks if you fill up your car regularly and you smoke like I do.
Mine needs a litre of fuel used after a brim fill before it stops trickling onto the petrol tank. Mates 325 has exactly the same problem , which we only found out after we tested it. |

I have the same problem and would be interested to know if BMW would sort it for free without warranty... Mines a 55 plate with 117k on the clock but full BMW history.

Mine does the same its a 320d m-sport 55 2005 75k on the clock. I just don't fill to the brim especially in the summer. Any one managed to get it done on a goodwill from the stealers?
