Modifying magnaflow exhaust idea

i'd like to see what everyone on e90post thinks and i'd like yall to throw in your two cents. any criticism is appreciated

i'm very new to the e90 game so out of brand recognition, i bought a magnaflow exhaust.

i picked it because of the familiarity (i came from domestic platforms where they are a big name) and because it would 1) retain all the cats because i am under warranty and 2) remove the resonator, which from my limited reading at time of purchase, really held back sound and performance

the magnaflow has a really beefy tone and the turbos spool a little faster, but i really dont think it is loud enough.

i've been considering some alternatives

- cut the mufflers out and put in straight pipe (though i hear it may be too loud since this system has an X pipe like the e92)

- cut the mufflers out and replace them with smaller mufflers/resonators

- cut the mufflers open and remove all the insulating fuzz

- trade for someone with a stock e90 sedan exhaust, keep the resonators, and delete the mufflers

- buy another aftermarket system

let me know what you guys think!

If you want to hack something up, buy a civic. If you don't like your exhaust, buy something else.

I think he meant constructive criticism. What is wrong with modifying the current exhaust?
OP, Check out Bakeme521's exhaust, he removed the mufflers and it sounds great.

Put'n anything besides oem will run a chance of warranty voided.
Any mod'n of an oem exhaust can chance warranty voided.

That put aside - u want more sound.
Yes muffler delete.
Yes cut'n the res and 2ndary cats.
Yes downpipes.
