Get yourself a BMW X1 brochure as most images use a sparklng bronze car (not my choice but looks unique and will stand out)

X5 literature also had sparkling bronze. There may be an X5 at your dealership to look at. There was at ours.

You can also do a Google Image search for X5 Sparkling Bronze:

http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&e...w=1116&bih=813

Try not to get too turned on by the photoshopped ones but the colour does look nice on the X5 in person; just not as vibrant as the photoshopped ones.

This thread may also help:

FWIW, we compared it side by side to the greys and silvers and ordered the Sparkling Bronze.

Not my X5, although I wish it was! It is very nice! We ordered the X3 in SB. When it comes in January I can post pictures, although somebody in Europe is sure to get their SB X3 before we get ours.

Best Regards,
Carl.

Thanks. Really look forward to seeing the sb in x3. Mine is on order expected feb.... Not sure about europe getting before then. The lead time is a nightmare and I suspect mineral silver will be most popular.

Hi ordered around 20th oct. Outlook was feb but last time I checked the build date was not yet confirmed. Need to check again. They are supposed to have a quick build process but understand that there is only one ship travelling the globe to pick up and drop off from Europe and USA so you have to wait for it to travel. Joy!!

I ordered mine Oct 24 and was told it will be week 3 production last Friday so I would think yours would be similar. They said beginning of Feb delivery but I think that may be optimistic. Their original estimate of delivery end of Dec or early Jan has already proved optimistic.

Joy is just around the corner. No, not that corner, the next one.

You can easily change your order as your car is not being built yet.

Yeah, true, but is cheaper to run and tax an X3. Add those xenons!

The upside is that if delivery slips into the first week of March, you'd have an 11 plate.

I have to take mine as soon as it comes in, even if it's the last week of Feb. This was a concession because I pushed hard on a discount.

I also spoke to another dealer and he said the first delivery expectation he has for an X3 order is the end of Feb.

Got a number private plate with my name on so not fussed about 11 plate

Wouldnt pay UK company tax or running costs on X5 (young family, wife and a 600 year old house that swallows all available money!)

Can you delay transferring your private plate for the first 6 months or year or is that not allowed / expensive? Or have you got "X3 BMW"?
