MRC Tuning remap

I had my e90 320d remapped at the weekend by MRC Tuning. I know this company extremely well as over the last few years they have helped me build and map a 500bhp Audi S4.

It doesnt seem that there are many options when tuning the 177PS LCI e90 320d so on the back of an Audi Rolling Road shootout on Saturday I asked MRC to look at my 320d M-Sport.

The results - Engine power from 178.7ps to 227.3ps, torque from 360nm to 449nm :

The car is completely transformed on the real road. Flooring 2nd gear no longer induces a grimmace but a grin. And there is plenty enough grunt to overtake on the motorway without dropping from 6th to 5th. I had a play with a Mk5 Golf GTi last night and was very pleasantly surprised by how easily I pulled away.

I really am very impressed with the new dynamics of this car. I was considering trading in but it now has the performance I always wanted it to have.

How much did this remap cost if you don't mind me asking

Price was £450 Inc VAT and before/after RR runs.

Well I'm still grinning with the performance and considering I always drive with a very heavy right foot, mileage has gone up from 45.7mpg to 49.2mpg

No abnormal driving this last week, just the usual 800 odd miles!
