Smile Nuts on My Sills, Super Strange.

I should have taken a picture, but didn't think about it at the time.

I left my car outside (bad bad, I know) for about 3 days without driving it, and when I went to get in, about 300 little popcorn looking seeds fell out. There were still about 200 stuck on the door sill. It was the strangest thing. The only thing I can think of is that a squirrel shoved them through the crack at the bottom of the door? Is that even possible?

I feel sorry for the poor guy that I ruined his stash, lol.

Anyone ever had this happen?

Convertible top was up the whole time. No one but the wife had access to the keys and it was locked.

I'll bet it was a squirrel or something similar trying to store them away for later...

If you are nuts, you can be gone the next day? At least they were on the sills, not behind the wheels.

what a d**k. You should've left your car there for the rest of the winter, now he's going to have to find somewhere else to hibernate.

+1 LOL

Mouse or squirrel. What you are describing, finding stored seeds, is typical for an invading rodent.

Mice can fit through very, very small holes, so it could be mice in your case. Look to make sure they haven't chewed anything. I had mice get into my engine and chew the hood insulation. Luckily they didn't chew any wires or anything else, so I replaced the insulation and all was fine: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173082 (I said squirrel in the thread, but I think now it must have been mice).

What about the open air intake? Could be that the cone didn't work out.

Haha, thanks guys. Damn, I never really thought of it being a mouse, I've never seen one, but that doesn't mean anything. Hell, off to the dealer, AGAIN!!!!

Good luck, last time I told them about a squeal they couldn't figure out if it was because the car was a pig, or because it just needed a brake.

Now try to ask the dealer what's the difference between a squirrel looking for the cone, or a cat catching a mouse. Are they trained for these?
