Z4M Konigsport & Highsport Coilover Systems, Z4M Koni Shocks (ECS Tuning)

Anyone ever heard of the Konigsport or Highsport Coilover systems that are listed on ECS Tuning for the Z4M? I tried to do a search on reviews with nothing found.

Heres the links:

Konigsport Coilover System-Adjustable Shocks
BMW Z4 M Roadster S54 3.2L
http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-Z4-M_Ro..._All/ES523296/

Highsport Coil Over Set-Non-Adjustable
BMW Z4 M Roadster S54 3.2L
http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-Z4-M_Ro..._All/ES523295/

They seem to be reasonably priced and utilize the Koni shocks.

They also list Koni shocks for the Z4M, but I was unsure if these actually work for the Z4M. I have H&R springs (uninstalled), and would love to match Koni shocks with them if this is the case.

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-Z4-M_Ro...ension/Shocks/

Any input is greatly appreciated.

yea, i was wondering the same thing.. im thinking ECS might be confusing applicable products with the non-M and the Z4M.

in doing further research on the FK Coilovers, i came across a system that might be "truly" applicable to the Z4M.

FK Coilover Silverline X - fit for BMW Z4 M (Typ M85) Year 2006- Coupe

i've sent an email to the USA sales person, and hoping to get some more information and details. hope to get some additional input.

please forward that information via the forums. i'm looking up reviews online as we speak and generally speaking they seem acceptable... just a few reviews about the collars seizing up on vw forums but i dont forsee myself changing ride height more than three times during the entire life of the vehicle

yea same here.. i figured once you set yourself on a good "height" that will be good enough.

pricing per their website via US$ dollars is like $1450~ which seems pretty reasonable.

ill definitely share the information i get via forums.. if anyone has any questions for me to follow up with (spring rates, etc.) let me know.. who knows, maybe a group buy in the near future

be aware that the Koni struts they have listed for the M roadster match the struts for sale for the 3.0

http://www.livermoreperformance.com/...html#bilsteinz

as per the above source, the only koni struts available for purchase are race only applications.

well i tried to get some input directly from FK, and ended up getting an email from a rep via ECS tuning.

i inquired about spring rates and details, and all he was able to respond was the following...
Hello,
The only information we have on these are directly from FK, they are made to fit your vehicle. Hope this helps.Thank you.
ehh, i expected more from ECS tuning then that response..

anyhow, this is the link to the specific product they identified for my 06' Z4MC:
http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2142892/

iono, but it seems too much of a risk to take for $1349~...

i had a set on my 135. nice quality pieces

the fronts are adjustable easily, the rear shocks need to be removed to adjust them. they are koni yellows.

height adjustable, and dampener too.

obviously can't comment on the M roadster but they were nice enough, just a pita to adjust the rears.

i couldn't get any spring rate info on mine either.

i ended up taking them off and switching to eibach pro kit which was supposed to ride great. they were probably worse if anything, then after i got rid of my runflats the ride was well sorted and handles much better.

didn't go back to coilovers due to the fact i'm not going to track the car and can sell them to put the money towards coilovers on the m.

My friend had some FK on his R32 and he wasn't happy with them (they came with the car when he bought it). He actually preferred the H&R setup I had on my R32 but not everyone likes the H&R spring rates......

I have the FK Konigsport coilovers on my M3, and I really like them. Unlike the H&R coilover setup I have for my Moupe, this is very street friendly. I would highly recommend this coilover setup if it's about the same thing as I have for my M3.

Garage List
These are now updated on the ECS Tuning Website. The product numbers for the M Coupe and Roadster are DIFFERENT. Just an FYI. If anyone has these for the M Coupe or Roadster, please post a review. The following link is specifically for the M Coupe.

Well now I am stumped. Just got this email from ECS. They confirmed the Koni shocks are for the Z4M? Dafuq?

"Hi,
Thanks for the inquiry. Yes, these Koni shocks do fit the Z4 M. If you would like to order them you can click on this link which will set you up in the first step of the ordering process. If there is anything else I can do for you please feel free to ask.

I expressed my incredulity and he responded again: THESE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE M

"Hi,
I had my BMW specialist check into this and you are correct. These Koni shocks will not fit the M. At this time I dont see any aftermarket shocks available for the M. Our site had these listed incorrectly so I had it fixed. I apologize for the mistake and if there is anything else I can do for you please feel free to ask.

Best,

These are on sale now @ ecstuning.
Btw if you want the technical specs of the products, I had FK send them to me
They are in german though.

can anyone take the technical specs and give me an idea on the quality?
Since they are koni shocks and struts they should compare with tckline and GC and ...
What do you think?
