negotiating help please
'm in negotiations for a non CPO e92 335XI black/saddle leather with sport, premium, and cold weather packages. No Idrive. THey want $28,990 and were offering 17K for my 08 A3 2.0t S-tronic. One day later they are offering $18500 for the trade and $28499. That's a difference of $2K in one day.
Galves (just found this site from reading here - THANKS!) had my trade at $18400 and their car at market ready for $24,335. I'm seriously considering their offer if they'll certify the car. Thoughts? Feedback? Thanks. |

Missing the details Oleg mentions. Plus, is the car actually market ready? Condition of tires/brakes, repair history, accidents, etc?
You have already figured out the best way to negotiate, walk. You are in a great position, you have a perfectly fine car now. There are a ton of these cars coming off lease, plus the 2007s are coming out of warranty. Once you come up with a number, tell them its your final offer. Either the deal will happen or it won't. If it doesn't, you'll find another in no time. If you are looking at $4K above Galves market ready, even if they throw in CPO (worth $2-2.5K) it seems a touch high. |
