H&R Coilover Question
Are H&R coilovers stainless steel? How do they compare to KW V1's. Had V1's on my previous e92. Trying to get ideas for 11' on order e92 xdrive this time.
Thanks, Chris

I actually have the same question. haha. I am trying to decide between coilovers or spring/shock combo. Price difference between H&R coils and H&R sport springs + Bilstein Shocks is only about $300. And then another $300 to get KW V1s.

On my previous car 07 335i (rwd) I went with KW V1's. I was happy with them and got them at a great price through Alan ************. However, KW's seem to be quite a bit more money for xdrives. H&R's seem to be in the price range i'm looking at. I have also been debating the spring/shock combo.

I guess you can't type the and symbol on the iPhone app.
But hnr's are not stainless, they are galvanized. Which means they will rust easily. I think FK silverliners are stainless. |

H&R Coils are not stainless
I would strongly recommend going with H&R Sport Springs with Bilstein Sport shocks for xi over either coilover option (KW or H&R) - they're both terrible, I know from friends who have tried both brands |

Nice thanks for the insight. Looking like i'm going to go the spring/shock route this time.
