Upgrading wheels- do I need to input new size in computer?

I am taking off the stock 16" wheels on my 09 E90 XDrive and putting on 18" M3 Reps.

I am looking at 235/40/18 (Frt) and 265/35/18 (rear) the rims are 18x8 ET 35 and 18x9 ET35

Do I need to enter this into the cars computer for the comuterized AWD system?

If so, where/how do I do that?

Nope, as long as you use the proper 18" tire size, the overall diameter and circumference will not change (or the change will be negligible) so it does not affect the speedometer.

I was going to use 235/40/18 in frt 265/35/18 in rear.. that within "Proper" tire size?

I went with a square setup on my M3 reps, i used 225/40R18 all around.

My brother has a staggered setup and he is using 225/40 in the front and 255/35 in the back.

Michelin Pilot A/S are good. Another option is the Continental ExtremeContact DWS; they're a bit cheaper.
