Thumbs up HH Starbucks Style....

Okay Everyone...

There seems to be some support for this.

Looking like either a Saturday or Sunday; would morning or afternoon work better?

I'm thinking a Sunday afternoon for those who have various morning activities...

Let's see the interest and then we'll poll a date!

"HH Starbucks" would be Happy Hour, Starbucks style.... instead of going for drinks, we'd go for coffee to show off the cars and socialize.

I live in Columbia so I would be down with HH. There's one at Dobbin and Rt 175. The parking lot is kinda small though. Any other suggestions on where?

If we can get enough people, how about a DuPont Circle Meet.

With about 30-40 BMWs, im sure we can bring the circle to a gridlock.

Hmm... a good old fashioned venti sugar free mocha latte no whip extra hot double shot throw down!

I like the old town idea too. I'm sure there are plenty of Starbuck's in the area. Or there is always Misha's.

you certainly put alot of pressure Donny

... as we see more of more of these newer owners come online, our only hope is that they dont view us as outsiders especially now that we have older cars

Im afraid that what once unite us may now be one that divides us
325/330s vs 328i/335s vs e90/e92s

I'd say lets make it happen but with more inputs from new friends, like Doug that spearheaded things for the new year. Our success is generally attibuted to being a ground-up operation.

Im sure we will support most efforts if we all put our heads together, like for instance combining this Starbuck HH in the morning to meet for Wine and Drive that soon to happen. Make it the same day.

What do you say AJ and Doug, can we be friends

Im sorry for being emotional and philosophical, I guess it comes with old age

thks for being your usual self Donny, an instigator.

My two cents:

Maryland is a bit far to go, for some of us suburban Fairfax/Loudoun county folks...how about Tysons Corner?

There is a Starbucks in the old Tower Records shopping center, near the Kinko's. I will get the exact address for everyone if we can all agree.

From there we can roll through the AWESOME roads in Great Falls. We can take Rte 7, to Lewinsville, to Old Dominion, to G'Town Pike, to Beach Mill, to Seneca, back to Rte 7...that's a great 1hr drive with all sorts of twistys, hills, and high-speed runs. Only thing to watch out for are slower cars.

Once we're fully hopped up on coffee, we should be attentive enough to really make that drive worthwhile...those who have never experienced those few roads, will love the intimacy of the wooded areas, and the granduer of the HUGE homes.

Let's make it happen.

Oh yeah, all friendly here....

The Starbucks idea came from the HH when we all said we liked it.

Not trying to steal thunder or anything, and combining it with the Wine and Drive would be great!

Was thinking since I go to Starry of the Buck$ so often.....

1) I think the weather this weekend will be conducive to going.
2) No hating here, all BMW owners are family in my mind, whether you're driving an '86 635csi, or an '07 M6 I'm cool with you. Just because someone has their new turbo'd 335i, doesn't make that 325i sedan any less majestic.
3) I want to drive. My boy's been sitting in the garage through the ice/snow and needs to run. It'll be warming up, so hand washing isn't a worry.
4) Coffee + Twisty Roads = FUN
5) I'm having one hell of a crappy business trip and I want to forget work, a good driving session will cleanse the soul.
6) Tysons seems like a pretty neutral point to start. We can go so many directions from there.

8381 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA is the location I am referring to. It is one block up Rte 7 (Leesburg Pike) from Stolhman VW, just across from the big Ernst & Young building and SAIC. The cross street of the strip-mall is Rte 7 and Westpark Drive. Tower Records used to be the big store there, but they recently went under.

How is the 1pm time frame??

Let's make the decisions and get the sign-up sheet going.

very nice to see the energy you guys bring to the table...

I wonder how our old timers feel about a Starbuck Meetup at Tysons (tentative) this Sunday (Sat?) for an hour of coffee and then to propose Drive and W/Dine?

When are you coming back AJ?
.. and will the rest of the crew be convinced Donny? maybe a rollcall would be in order... for I hate to miss one and offend them.

Calling Frank n others lolz
