Injectors/Wheels/UUC

Got the new (recall letter) HPFP replaced last week, get within 2 miles of home and the check engine light comes on AGAIN!! I get a call from my service advisor today saying the car should be ready tomorrow with my brand new injectors This after me asking if I needed them and told my vin didn't pop up under the recall notice.
In need of new rear tires BAD and thought maybe I should upgrade wheels while I'm at it. Anyone local (ATL area) have experience with a 9.5 rear w/265 35 18's and 8.5 front with 245/35 18?
Also I know Michelin PS2 get good ratings but I'm hesitant b/c of the $$. Anyone have Continental Extremecontact DW?
I'm sure I'm the last to know here, but UUC motorwerks is another option for local sales and service for aftermarket goodies :
http://www.nexternal.com/uuc/articles/main.htm
I know they had a good rep when I had my Audi. That's all carry on...
Thanks for any info on the rest of the questions.
Cheers
Todd

I would definitely get some Hankook Ventus V12 Evos, they are great for the money! Nivedh and I both have them. I also have a friend with e46 that loves them. They compared very well to the PS2s (which were the benchmark) in a Car and Driver tire test a few years ago:
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...mparison_tests
they are summer tires though. Glad to hear you got new injectors, I wish the 07s were a part of that recall automatically. Still have yet to get my letter, but will probably take my car in shortly as I am 850 miles away from 50k.

Hey Todd,

UUC is a very good vendor, my exhaust is from them. I'm planning on getting a few things, like the short shift kit and maybe some other stuff. Let me know, I know one of the owners and I get some good deals from him. I know that they have a badass exhaust system for the 335i.

Eric

ive heard nothing but good things about the hancooks (from more people than Ron1x) They will definitely be my next tire, just as soon as I get some reasonable wheels on this car!

Yeah and its a great price! It is just the mufflers, but it sounds really good. Kevin on here had it, he might still have it for sale. I have the UUC ssk and it still is my favorite mod to this day. The guys at UUC are fun to hang out with too, I got a crazy drive in the e90 M3...

That was John, he used to work for UUC. I haven't heard from him in a long while. He is the one that gave me a great deal on my exhaust. But he also introduced me to Arjun, which is one of the owners of UUC.

I just went from stock 189's to some knock off Miro 942's that are 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in rear. I initially had them put my stock tires on but they looked goofy, too stretched for me (especially in the rear), so I put on 265/35/18's and they look much better. i did this at the time i needed new rear tires. i have michelin ps2 a/s and yes they were a little more but theyre great tires. quiet, handle, and last a long time (relatively speaking). I'm still running factory 225's in front but when they wear out, i'll go up one size on those too.

had some UUC upgrades done years ago, (SSK and spacers) but no experience with exhaust. I think they make good stuff. good luck!

The only good to your story is that you got new injectors. Hopefully not reman'd ones. That is nice though, especially if you are tuned.

I don't know if they were new or reman'd but I only got cylinders 4/5/6 replaced
My car wasn't under the recall notice for the injectors so there was no justification to replace injectors they couldn't find fault with.
Oh well, hope the other three last a long time....I'm tired of service depts. and totally understand Steve's justification to moving up to the M. Just wish I could convince the wife I need to upgrade
Cheers

I concur. Just say well I know the salesmen and he hooked me up. Also I get a tax discount on it on the trade in. The depreciation of the 335i was rapidly growing and the M holds it value. Sure its not great short term but long term this car is a champ...

Been there.

I moved to Gainesville, GA for the time being.

I'll live here until December 2011 and then move somewhere more permanent. Not sure yet, maybe DC area, or Chattanooga.

I'm trying to work for Volkswagen of North America (VWoA) or BMWNA.
