Almost the same price as the Dinan CAI.

What's wrong with the Simota intake? I haven't seen one in the flesh but can only imagine your gripes might be with parts fitment and the overall (smallish) size of the filter element. At least it looks good in pictures.

It uses the factory air inlets, which are small. No matter how large/efficient the filter, you need more air to reach it.

By the way, I got a quote for a new Simota intake from someone on this forum for about $500 (but didn't bought it). There was a post in the vendor classifieds for Simota, if you search it and PM that guy you can get that lower quote.

I wonder what the ID measurements are within those factory inlets. I should take off the factory snorkels just to measure the volume. Its likely sufficient for our power levels. The problem with the factory airbox is that the air has to make a 180-degree turn through the lid which pinches things down quite a bit. I'd love to find a way to fit a taller airbox lid but it wouldn't clear the hood.

Its the gruppe replica and IMO its no where near Dinan's intake which I think is really nice but for the money too expensive for me!
