Where can you actually buy it? I wanted to get some, but the folks at the parts counter said it wasn't available and probably was no longer being imported into the US.

What color are you looking for? I had a really hard time getting the green paint for my wife's X5. It took the dealership 1 year (no lie) to get it.

I doubt BMW have stopped importing the color if it was a car and color sold here. I'd try several different dealerships before I used non-BMW paint.

crown auto and circle bmw sell the paint.

I dont know.. the quality of metalic touch up paint is not so good.

If you have a light car, the layer underneath the car is light.. its harder to see the spots.

If you have a dark spot and its white underneath then i understand.

i had a bad experience with the touch up paint from automotivetouchup.com. the sparkling graphite touch up paint they have, is way way darker than the stock color.

if you can, i recommend getting the one bmw sells.

www.paintscratch.com has received positive comments all across the board. I've used their products and I definitely liked the result. BMW touch up paint has never matched well for me. My Titaniam Gray touch up paint looked like Metallic Green, but it was the right color code

I used a non-BMW paint to paint the bumper plugs (3 months waitlist from Bimmian), and it looked great. I also got the BMW paint to touch up the coreners on my splitters, and I have to say I did not like the consistency of the BMW paints - too thick.

I used paintscratch to touch up titanium silver...which is a hard color to match...and it was too dark for the color of the car
