Navigation DVD Spinning

Has anyone else noticed that when sitting in your car with the key out of the ignition, you can hear the navigation DVD spinning periodically? Wondering if it's just my car or normal.

Thanks

Mine has been rather quiet but I just recently started using a burned backup of the 2011.1 dvd and it is pretty loud and noticeable. Could it be that it is a burned DVD and not an OEM/pressed DVD? Or would it be that there is just more info on the 2011.1 compared to the 2007.2 and it needs to spin up alot more often?

I just went back to my old disk. I'd rather not have the police and traffic cam than have to hear the disk

I don't notice this at all.....I mean it spins in my car too but not enough to bother me.

And I have a burnt 2011 nav disc too. Maybe it's 2010? Whatever the most recent is.

Navigation DVD spinning

Yes, I have just recently noticed that my DVD is spinning, no key inserted in ignition. I think that the change in weather (it's cold now) has made the sound more noticeable. I do wonder what the reason is for having the DVD spinning with no keys in ignition. I'm assuming that it begins to spin after sensing that the door has been opened. Anybody have any more info on this?

Where can one (myself) get copy of this burnt 2011 disc?
