Does m-sport suspension or bigger tires help agains numb steering?

Read recently some reassuring posts about m-sport suspension helping somewhat against lack of feedback at around neutral steering position. Any experiences or comments about wider wheels and sport suspension? If you have tested similar cars with and without these options could you please share your findings?

I have standard suspension and 17in wheels and is very well affected by said issue... It seems that all engine sizes are subject to this (again judging by various posts so allow some margin for mistake/judgment) so it would appear it is not directly a matter of front axle loading. Also IAS doesn't seem to be free from this either.

Apparently the drive models come equipped with hydraulic steering so that should be the ticket - could the x-drivers please chime in?

Wondering also if anyone found a way to disable the steering compensation of gusts of wind - this compensation isn't very subtle: I'd much prefer to compensate for the wind rather then wind steering compensation

Eps has about 10 fuses according to a cheatsheet in the trunk fuse compartment
