I've also posted this on the 1 and M3 boards as well....hopefully we'll have a Bimmer takeover of the track

Event: DFW E9x 1/4 Mile Shootout
Date: Saturday February 19, 2011
Location: Dallas Raceway, 8055 W Highway 175, Crandall, TX 75114
Meet Time/Place: 1230pm @ Bone Daddy's on 75. We will roll out to the track at 130pm sharp! It's about a 30 minute drive to the track.

So I know Bone Daddy's gets pretty filled up on Saturdays for lunch, are we going to be able to meet in this parking lot without parking a mile apart? Is there a section of this parking lot you are thinking will be vacant (I know it's pretty big).

Usually there's parking off the side in between Chili's and Brickhouse.

@TJ - I didn't think about how busy Bonedaddy's gets at lunch, good point. There's plenty of parking though, so it shouldn't be an issue I hope. I think I'm going to add 30 minutes to departure time so that we can grab a quick bite before heading to the track. cool with you guys?

Lol my bad...need more coffee I guess. When I was there a few weeks ago the theatre was closed down so you could probably park closer to that side...

Just checked the forecast. The chance of rain has dropped for Saturday, so we may be in business.

fyi..for the track. If you plan to race, it's $25

Generally how long does it take from getting to the drag strip to leaving if you get about 3 runs in? I might have something going at 5, but I'd really like to make it to this.

Hey man...unfortunately it's almost impossible to determine that as it all depends on how many people are out at the track that day, how many people decide to hotlap (run after run after run) their cars, etc.

Also depends on how long you want to let your car cool down between runs. The last time I went, I did 4 runs in about 3 hours. The crowd was very light and I could have gotten 50 runs in if I wanted to. Like Wookie said, there's no way to know how many people will show

Does this track not have lights? Surprised it doesn't keep going after dark, as night runs are usually cooler (temperature-wise)... I've actually only ever run tracks at night, never really done it in the daytime. It's fine with me, just kinda wondering since I've never been to this track only Ennis and Houston Raceway Park.

Yeah, they do...I suspect they just do days during the off season months to cut down on the power bill

Great time today, fellas! I had a blast. That headwind was pretty brutal, traction sucked, but no complaints. Glad you guys all made it out, and hopefully we can do it again sometime in the Spring.
