Montego to become very popular?

Didn't realize just how NEW this color was...I think when people finally see a bold blue in a Bimmer, this will be seen alot more.

It's at least popular in showrooms. I've see three different E90 sedans at three different dealerships with Montego. Never actually seen one on the road yet though...

yeah, i've only seen them in showrooms too. They have a sweet 328 e92 in montego with some bad ass bmw spoked rims....if it was a 335i i would have bought it instead

i see this as the new "it" color for bmw 3's especially the m3 maybe replacing imola red

Well, it's neck and neck for second place with Sparkling Graphite [behind space grey] in the current popularity poll. Very surprising. I cannot believe that it actually would outsell TiAg in customer ordered cars. Of course there is no way that the dealers would be so wildly radical as to order Montego for their allotments.

a lot of people LOVE the color, but most of those same people will not buy a car in that color for some reason...

im happy though, i dont want it to be the IT color... even though i liked graphite w/ coral red i didnt get it because there are SOOOOO many grey BMWs

I wanted Montego blue but the dealer said it would be a very hard find. I called all dealers within a 200 mile radius and i couldn't find many that were packaged the way I wanted.. so I settled for a sparkling graphite.

It is more radical than I initially thought when I ordered it. Definitely stands out if it's clean and the sun is out. It may have the highest visual reflectivity of any BMW color in the sun. BAAAMM! And yet it is less boy racer than the Audi and Mazda equivalents. Not sure why.

No I think you might be thinking of Estoril. Here are my Le Mans pics from Europe. I thought the cars were Montego when I took them:

Almost impossible to distinguish from the wife's Montego E90 in these pics.

i wanted montego all the way. The color is hot. ITs not in your face yellow, but stands out speaking, step aside- let a real car use the road. Ive driven my montego 3 times, cant estimate how many looks this car gets. People's eyes are fixated on it. I see too many grey (space/tiag) colored bmw's. Even white isnt too hard to spot out. I hope not too many order this color, otherwise its another dime a dozen

I think montego is beautiful when the color looks a little darker-saw one on the street on an overcast afternoon and almost rear-ended the car in front of me.

but thought it was too blue(?) and saturated(?) when seen in bright sun light. hard to describe but i guess it all comes down to preference. i like it when the car looks dark, un-happy, and has a deeeep growl...

haven't seen one on the road yet either. i think i'd like it based off the ads... but i also thought i'd like the m6's indianapolis red based off of the ads.... boy was i wrong. horrible color.

I saw a Montego Blue 335 about a month ago. My first reaction (before realizing it was a 335) was "holy crap that's eye catching". Then the instant I realized it was a 335 my thought was "goddamn that hot." but I would never buy that color. Too funky for my taste.

Yeah I agree... It is a little too immature of a color in my opinion.... very eye catching though

Well it sounds as though I'm being quite brave.

My e93 is due in 4 weeks in Montego with cream. I saw a coupe in the showroom in the same colours last year and decided that was the combination I wanted. I toyed with Black for a while but I had an e46 vert in black and it was a pain to keep clean so that put me off.

The only other option was a shade of gray from silver to graphite and frankly all 3 series seem to be in those colours these days.

So I'm quite pleased that not many people are going for Montego as it will make mine more exclusive

Seen the color in the showroom and it was a bit too flashy for me. Blue is actually my favorite color and i love how it looks on the e92 however it lacks something, which i can't describe Not enough agressive or to much feminine (please no hard feelings). I was torn apart between Montego and Space grey. Blue is very nice in dark conditions where Space is... grey. In sunlight Space is unbeatable and blue is too strong (for me). Also, i wanted saddle and it didn't feel right with blue exterior (and my girlfriend was against it  )

Anyway, will definitely enjoy seeing the color IRL everytime i get the chance
