Mixing Different Synthetic Oils
Hey Guys,
Is it harmful to use different synthetics inbetween the scheduled oil changes? I have 8 quarts of Amsiol 5-W30 that I was planning to use for my 1,200 mile break-in change. I know that BMW useses there own oil. I was told that you shouldn't switch synthetic brands. |

I've been mixing, matching, and adding different types of oils for the longest time.....
and I don't remember having any problems. But then again....I've never done it with a BMW.

Rason I'm asking is I bught a case of the amsoil stuff for my 2005 TSX, but now that that's gone I have 7 quarts left. So I'm wondering if it's harmful to use te amsoil for my first oil change before lettibg bmw take over with the scheduled change.
