Help me find the E92 Back seat protector

Does anyone know a different place to get http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=781 ?

I just returned from my deployment and got my Siberian Husky back. I love to bring him everywhere I go but I dont want his paws to go through the leather. I have heard good reviews here on this but $300+ seems like alot. Anyone know where to get it at a discount?

I would appreciate any help for me and Loki

I'm sure you could probably make a liner yourself for 20 or 30 bucks.

I did the blanket thing yesterday and cut hold out for the seats so it would pull out but he moves around alot and keeps bunching up the blanket and eventually ends up getting pulled up pushed against the seats. The BMW covers all the back of the front seats too which I like.

Then you just need a larger tarp or something along those lines and put in straps to loop around the front and rear head rests to keep it in place.

I wouldn't trust my seats to a blanket or a tarp. My dog is about 70 pounds, and I believe his nails could damage the leather through a blanket.

Furthermore, I don't imagine that you could ever get the blanket to stay in place. Between my driving and him moving about, there's almost no way.

The cover is expensive, but not nearly as expensive as the seats.

This member is selling one. I was thinking about getting it too for my huskies :P. But usually I take one at a time in the front seat and a normal seat cover + blanket/bed sheet takes care of the rest door panel, center arm rest, etc.

Glad you made it back ok. Recommendation: either get another car that's more dog-friendly (X3 or similar), or leave him at home. Back seat of a coupe isn't a good place for any dog, let alone a fairly big one like yours.

Yes, welcome back! I miss my dog and wife after a weekend trip. I can't imagine how it must be.

I had a 328CI with the BMW Vinyl seat cover. It lasted fairly long. Could use some stitching towards the end. It was one of the best things I did when I bought the car. When I got my X3, I thought my dog would enjoy the back. Nope, too much thrashing around. Its actually harsher in the back than I thought. She was getting older too. So I started with the blanket, then a "hammick" style cover and even a more expensive orvis ones. They just slip too much.

The BMW ones are worth it, because they also have side covers for doors and the back of the coupe. Its amazing how cute they are when they put there nose on the armrest and window... but... I'm glad I have the covers. I actually think she was safer in the back of my coupe than my x3. It creates a "net", and less room to be thrown around too.

Then I got the X3 cover and I'm so happy I did. I got it on ebay for a little less. It didn't slip and it actually grabs the hair, which is really nice. Washable too. One side is a plastic-like material that grabs the leather seats. The other is a cloth that grabs hair. In between is a thin foam pad. It flexes too, unlike the Vinyl one. Which is good to a point. It tore easily in the middle where the front armrest would be when my dog wanted to stand front paws on armrest.

I now have the X3 one in my 335. It also needs some stitching in a few seems, and its a little bigger because its from the X3. But it works. Its lasted six years! with Doberman/German Shepard mixes. If you get it, send me a PM and I'll show where to re-inforce it. I may get the actual 335 one soon.

So, I think the BMW is the best one, washable, lasts long has side covers and form fitted. But yes... too expensive! But a hole or tear in the seat is worse.

I'll look to see if I still have the vinyl/leatherette one. If I do, you can have it. But it would need some stitching and patching.

Look at the X5 one in the link below, thats the one, but for the coupe. I have found it online for much cheaper than the gray one. But couldn't just now. FYI, its not as easy to wash that one compared to the new gray ones.

here is a link to the orvis stuff

hope this helps!

That is for the e90 sedan. Its different for a coupe. Thanks BTW, it might work for my e90 sedan. I'm using one from my X3...

This is the one for the coupe. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

Ended up getting the one from BMW and used it in the 328 for a few months and multiple long trips with my Husky (500 miles one way). It is such a great investment. Goes in the car in about 3 minutes once I got used to taking it in and out including the back seat protectors. Take it out and looks like no Husky was in there!!! Considering the amount of hair they produce I was impressed. The only thing I had to fix was the floormats that collect hair quickly but a towel there takes care of that problem. However if I open the window its like an explosion of Husky hair everywhere and I spend the next day cleaning the interior hahaha but I dont care I lve my dog and take him anywhere I care.

I need to get a protector for my 335 coupe as well. The part 52-30-0-416-248, I believe is correct but does this come with the separate seat back protectors? It appears the it is all once piece that connects to to back of the front headrest.
Please let me know.
Thx
