so much for parking at a friends
So after having to take a short trip this weekend, i decided it was safe to leave the E92 at a friends vs the airport. I let her drive me to the airport only if she would put my car in the garage in place of hers over the weekend. NP cool. deal.. and besides its a nice condo community... i trust the neighborhood
As i returned last night, she picks me up in her car and states " i have to tell u something" ...holy crap... im thinking she curb checked the rims etc.. I scratched the front lip on the curb when parking, but i will pay for it. I didnt freak out yet, however i was more concerned if the complete lower half of the bumper was destroyed. luckily its not noticeable unless u look underneath or run your hand along the edge. I also noted heyyy thats why if i back in when i come over... i also mentioned this before i left for the airport. strike 1 After dinner, i load up the car and go to the trunk, and there is some unknown massive tree sapp frozen on the back window and trunk! ITs midnight low lighting, but whatever it is im like WTF I go upstairs to inquire about this random stuff and she says she has no idea! lets take a look! come to find out its a d*mn EGG!!!! there are no others cars in the area with Eggs on them as well.. i had just washed and cleaned up Sasha *the car* b4 i departed cause i knew it was going to be in the garage. wrong on that one and thats strike 2. luckily google was my friend and Warm water & vinegar does the trick, just remember to get the egg shells off before you wipe. then finished off with some Meguiars Quick Detailer did the trick. guess i will shell out the $20 a day for Garage parking at the airport next time. got an est of $75 to buff the lip out, but think i might just go ahead and get an upgrade from the factory one... wosahhhhh

Nah I'm just messing with you man, that does suck. Extremely annoying. But that is an excellent idea to back into driveways that are a bit steep, the only thing would be coming back out of them.

LOL... i know it is rather sexy, i rarely let anyone especially a woman drive, but since she was letting me use her garage, that was the tradeoff... dont get it twisted she will never drive again, unless im really drunk or dying...

rules of parking:
1) Always garage 2) Park beside a wall when possible as close as possible. This will reduce the chance of door dings by 50% 3) Never valet 4) Its perfectly acceptable to cruise the parking area and determine the best parking spot, even if GF/Wife is in shotgun yelling about being late for dinner/club/shopping/whatever |
