Odd plug in rear seat cup holder
heya - I don't pop over here from the M3 forum much, but a buddy of mine found an odd plug in the bottom of the rear seat cup holder in his '08 E64 M6. I don't recognize it by description, and BMW didn't see fit to offer us M3 drivers any cup holders in the rear at all (not that I let anyone sit back there in the first place) so I thought to ask you nice folks if anyone had the foggiest idea what he's talking about.
Thanks! -424D57 Last edited by 424D57; 02-23-2011 at 04:21 PM.. |

I believe he is talking about the passenger cupholder in the rear half of the armrest. The "plug" is where you can store the driver's aluminum cupholder when not in use.
You pull straight up on the driver cupholder to remove it, then push it into the "plug" at the bottom of the the armrest cupholder.
