Help a newbie sanity-check numbers

Hey guys,
First of all - thanks to everyone for a fantastic database of information. You have truly made this process a whole lot easier.

After a test drive of the new 3 (as well as all of your posts), I have made the decision to take the plunge on a loaded 330i. I have pulled invoice numbers from the PDF pricing report, and I was hoping someone would help me sanity-check my assumptions.

Here we go:

Retail price:
Base price: $36,600
Auto: $1,275
Nav: $2,000
Sat radio: $595
Premium: $2,200
Sport: $1,600
Destination: $695

Total retail:
$44965

Invoice Price:
Base price: $33,485
Auto: $1,210
Nav: $1,820
Sat radio: $540
Premium: $2,000
Sport: $1,455
Destination: $695

Total invoice:
$41,205

Judging by all of your great advice, a "good" price seems to be about $1000 over invoice. According to my calculations, that should be about $42,205. for my loaded 330i. When a dealer gets back to my email requests for quotes, and says "$1100 over invoice," can I assume this car will cost me $43,305+tax?

Sorry for the newbie question. Looking forward to joining the club!

Hey welcome to the forum! I think you're getting an excellent deal.
If you can get a loaded 330i for $43,305, GO FOR IT! I don't know what others paid, but for my fully loaded 325i (without sport, prem., or cold weather--but I did get leather, heated seats, fold down seats, xenon, navi) the price came to abou $39,600 including taxes, so if the taxes (and registration, plate, or any other expenses) don't bring it up by a whole lot more, I think you're getting a great deal. Just my two cents...maybe someone who bought the 330i with the options you chose could give you more insight. Good luck!

Looks good! Don't forget to add 430 if you want metallic paint.

Also, alot of other members get nailed with sales costs, administration and document fees as well as advertsising costs. Remember to agree on a final number in writing, ie not 1000 above invoice, but rather $44560 out the door kinda thing! :-)

the going rate right now seems to be 1500-2000 below MSRP, 1000 over invoice will be very difficult, unless you are doing Euro Delivery.

I don't see Comfort Access in your list... You may want to consider adding it.

that sounds about right. I got my E90 for 41k without the Nav/sat audio.
Imo, don't miss that great deal.
