These pics are taken from copart's website/ van nuys, anybody know the back story here?

Thinking someone might know the owner, or if it was wrecked or what...pictures strike me as odd, usually there's a wreck involved or parts are stolen/gone, etc. - doesn't seem like either is the case here.
