Non Run flat Tires on BMW OEM wheels

Hello Folks,

After reading some of the postings on run flats, I am confused. Can non run flat tires be installed on any BMW oem wheels F10/F11. Or are there any specific OEM wheels on which non run flat tires can be installed.

I read somewhere on this forum a gentleman had 350m style wheels and installed non run flat tires on them. Can't think of that thread. Will post if I come across that thread.

Thank you
Subba

You just buy the BMW wheels and put any type of tires of your choice.

If you ask the dealer(s), they willl simply tell you RF is the best and only choice becuase they don't want to be responsible/held liable shoud the non RF causes any problem to the car's overall performance.

I put nonRFT winter tires on 350m rims. I put Michelin Pilot PS2 nonRFTs on my 351m rims for summer (although I have not driven on them yet.) I also ran Conti DWS nonRFTs on my e60 550i OEM 18 inch rims and ran both RFT and nonRFT winter tires on my aftermarket rims for that car. I am not aware of any issues switching from RFTs to nonRFTS on the same rim. And if you were referring to my post, thank you for calling me a gentleman.

I see oem 350M style wheels come as fronts 18x8.0, 245/45 R18 and the backs are larger at 18x8.0, 275/40 R18. Did you go with this configuration on your X Drive or match front and rear sizes?
