ipod not loading completely

it seems like my ipod doesn't get completely loaded on the car. there are songs on my ipod that doesn't load on the car. and the ipod screen constantly says DO NOT DISCONNECT. I had a 3 series loaner and the ipod loaded up just fine within seconds of plugging it in, even showing the BMW logo on the ipod screen, and all the songs on the ipod loaded up, on the 3 series., but not on my 5.

anyone else have this issue?

Yes similar probs, hour and a half to load, says memory full and not all songs loaded,so tend to just plug I-pod into USB and use as External device.

Is the iPod itself loaded with files to full capacity? That may cause problems, load it to max. 90% capacity.

loading a 160gb to 90% will take a lot, I hope that's not the only solution.
