My 18" 313's are here!

Came in this week. They look awsome just sitting in the living room. I got 8 x 18 and 8.5 x 18. The 8x18's weigh 22.6#'s. The 8.5x18's weigh 24.6#'s. Ordering tires this weekend.... Conti DWS's. Non-run-flats.

Nice wheels.. They seem to be 3 to 4 lb lighter than most other stock 18".

225/40-18 for the front 8x18's. 255/35-18 for the rear 8.5x18's. That's the OEM tire sizing. That's the sizing I'm running.

Just ordered a set of Conti DWS's in the above sizing. Stock, BMW is putting Bridgestone Potenza Runflats on these rims. They weight approx 5-7 lbs more per tire vs the Conti's non-runflats. I'll weigh the Conti's when they show up and weigh the stock Conti Runflats when I have the dealer pull them off. They only have approx 2-3k on them.

I'm hoping my new setup is lighter than the stock 17" 159's with runflats.

Great choice. I have the 18 313s as well. I wrapped them in Conti DW.

Nice choice in wheels. I think the stock 159 wheels with Bridgestone RFT weigh around 54.4lbs. Tirerack lists the RFT at 28lbs, so that leaves about 26.4lbs for the wheel alone. Source: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56848

The 18" 313's with the Conti DWSs should come in around 44.6lbs at the front and 47.6lbs in the back. You're definitely saving a couple pounds at each wheel.

DWS's are high performance all seasons. I wanted to stick with something that allowed year round use (Even though I live in Central FL!). I've made some road trips and vacations up north during the winter in the past and encountered light snow & ice. Don't want to box my sedan in.

I hate hosting pics. Time consuming. I'll post next week when they are on the car.

I'm having my local dealer installthe wheels/tires. Hopefully they don't give me any shiz over the tires not being runflats.

Update. Got them on the car today. BMW dealer was too busy, so they said the Benz dealer could probably do it. Headed down there and they got them on. I think I flustered them with bringing in my own tires & wheels... most likely not a common thing. Only thing I'm a bit ticked off about is on the RR they scuffed up the rim edge putting on the tire. Granted it's a 18" tire with a 35 profile tire, clearcoat rim, but they're not runflats. Wonder how pissed I should be...

Ok, weighed everything out.
Stock 159 17" wheels with stock continental runflats with approx 2k miles (no TPMS or center emblem): 51.6#

8x18 313 rim: 22.6# + Conti DWS 225 tire 20.8#= 43.4# w/out TPMS or center emblem=-8.2#

8.5x18 313 rim: 24.6# + Conti DWS 255 tire 23.0# = 47.6# w/out TPMS or center emblem=-4.0#

Deffinately shaved some weight off the wheels. Total of -24.4#.
