New Owner - Lights & Boot
Hi there, new owner and relaitively new poster here, so please be gentle for asking what might be a couple of numpty questions. I have RTFM, but pehaps it might be me
Lights I have the auto light/wiper option and have been trying to get the lights to stay on for a while after I leave the car. But struggling, I have used the computer to set various times, but after I close doors and lock. The lights just turn off. Is it working to spec and it's me or am I doing something wrong. Boot Is it possible to open the boot, using the remote, with the rest of the car locked? I seem to have to unlock all the doors first and it will then only open the boot. Again, is it me? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide. Even if it's only "RTFM again, you dope" Lev |

Lights - after you have switched off the ignition, "flash" the lights by pulling the stalk towards you. The "Follow me home" function will then light the lights according to your settings.
Boot - No, you cannot open the boot with the rest of the car locked.

For walk home lights you need to pull the flash stalk as you get out. Otherwise it would come on when you might not want it to.
Older models can unlock the boot with the doors locked, but this was changed later on so now you have to unlock the doors first. (stop people locking kets in boot) |

It changed in '07. Although it means you cannot accidentally lock the keys in the boot it does render the whole thing entirely pointless.

Thank You
Guys, thank you very much for taking the time to answer. I appreciate it.
Lights: Flash the stalk. Good tip. Boot Lock: Hard luck. Keep pressing. Seems a bit pointless to me as I don't have folding seats, in which case even if I open the doors, I can still lock the key in the boot. Something I am well capable of, believe me. Thanks again. Lev |

When you unlock the car, the doors and the boot is unlocked, so you can't lock your keys in - having folding rear seats or not wouldnt matter..
