19" wheel

Does anyone know the right offset of 19" oem or aftermarket wheels for E91 335i ?

I believe the 19" oem wheels only come in 8" and 9" wide but you can get 19" aftermarket for the same width and 8.5 and 9.5 .So if go for an aftermarket 8.5 front and 9.5 rears what offset wouldnt need the car to have any sort of modification i.e spacers etc and would there be any issue if rear seats are fully occupied occasionally ?

Please Advise, thanks

OEM 8Jx19 ET37
OEM 9Jx19 ET39

If you go aftermarket avoid going -10 (ET27/ET29) on the ET's above or you run the risk of tyres rubbing, and if you go +10 (ET47/49) you'll need spacers to bring the sizes back to OEM.

In a nutshell try and get aftermarket wheels as close to OEM ET's as possible.
Guessing/predicting on a possible combination is always difficult, if you find something that rocks your boat find out the ET's and post, someone will be able to advise.

Thanks Hc

I think aftermarket 19" only come in 8.5j front and 9.5j rears so probably offset cant be same as oem 19" wheels. So as you said the aftermarket wheels should have a offset between (30-40) and there wont be a problem.

what about the offset of these wheels ? As advised I think they have quite close offset to whats been recommended

You are spot on - et30 - 40 will go on your car OK.. The wheels advertised have an ideal offset of et35.

Ok I like these wheels but not sure which one to go for, so I leave it you guys. I am gonna have them painted in matt black, gunmetal or antracite so let me decide on the colour as well. The colour of the car is Le mans blue E91.

This one ?

http://www.bmautosport.co.uk/detail.php?siteid=1819

Or this

http://www.bmautosport.co.uk/detail.php?siteid=1588

As advised by the knowledgeable members both the wheels have compatible offset for E91

So whats your opinion please ?

Personally I'd get the ET35/ET45 choice and put a 10mm spacer on the rear

Agreed.. The CSL reps will look fantastic in a dark shade on your Le mans Blue car. The et38 front and et35 rear will go straight on and fill the arches nice.. Or go for the et45 fittement with a 10mm spacer will bring it down to et35.

Ok not very technical about spacers so would you explain why to have et45 rears with 10mm spacers when they have same wheel in et35 ? wouldn't the rears with et45 with 10mm spacers look same as et35 rears or am i missing something ?

Websy, ignore my comment about the spacers, for some reason I got it the wrong way round.

Go with the ET35 rears and ET38 fronts.

Your correct, ET45's with a 10mm spacer would be the same as ET35, Doh!

I run 8.5 /9.5 et35 and et37 without incident. I also added 10mm spacers all round to fill the arches better. They only rub when the car is fully loaded.
