question for people with raceland downpipes

Alright about to take the plunge into getting a set of down pipes...I want to hear from people who have the new batch of race land or plm down pipes do they fit? Are you having serious issues with them are any problems, I am not going to buy more expensive down pipes I just think its ridiculous to pay what some are asking for a set. So please any experience good or bad is welcomed i just wanted a good fair assessment of these down pipes, thanks in advance.

Honestly, I don't know which batch mine came from but fitment is spot on. Not at all harder to install than my friends ARs!

Well I personally dont have any downpipes, but I have done a lot of reasearch on them(including the raceland). The raceland ones seem to fit without a problem, but I just want to warn you that there is a reson why youre paying 1/4 of the price of others, these dp rust very easily. But you could always get them coated or even buy 2 sets since theyre so cheap.

I live in N. Texas we usually do not get much snow are rain so not to worried about the rust but if the they fit then I'm good, I think just getting rid of the catalytic convertors (that's for imperator) would be a huge improvement..but I have a theoretical question how could I possibly pass emissions with this and my v5?

You'll get some very slight surface rust, it's nothing to worry about though.

I've had mine on for about 6mths and there is zero rust on them. Still planning on coating them while they're out.

I didn't have good luck with them, they didn't fit well for me, and I couldn't get them to stop leaking. They seem like they can be hit or miss. I just didn't want to go through the effort of doing the job all over again, so I got some AR's. I don't regret the extra cost at all, the quality is worth every penny.

Hope you don't mind I posted one of your pics Its a great shot. Really shows the quality and size difference. I've had several customers switch from these pipes to ARs, so you are not alone

I've swapped a couple of Racelands in the past month or so due to the same issues. Customer stopped by the shop to pickup some parts & didn't even realize that the leaking exhaust sound wasn't normal lol.

They just assumed the DP's were supposed to sound "like that". They were leaking pretty badly & after a couple adjustment attempts there wasn't much luck.

could you please describe this sound? I am going to be installing mine sometime in the near future, and wouldn't mind knowing what they should NOT sound like when I start the car up after the install.

Just sounds like an old tractor starting up. You'll hear it coming from the front of the car.
