Here is what the 1M led brows look like...
I don't think BMW had the budget to update the 1er lights with the new Plasma AE halos. I think even the current M3 won't get there either, while 328's and 335i's get the new halos. Wierd. |

Do you think that the car would have looked better with Plasma AE halos and no LED Brows or have BMW got it right?

All's not lost though, I know you can get replacement bulbs of LED brightness for the Halos, I did it on a 5 series a couple of years ago. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the '12 1-series cars offer a "Light Package" that includes LED corona rings? I recall seeing propaganda that speaks to this from BMW.

Our facelift 1 convertible arrived yesterday with the led eyebrow but with the yellow corona's. A disappointment but there is a (easy/cheap) solution like someone already mentioned here

I think it's a pitty that BMW didn't omit the brows and use the budget towards LED rings. My thoughts are that the wonderful bright light of the brows makes the non LED rings look worse than they actually are! I can however understand that BMW probably wanted to make the 1M look different to current 1 series offerings. I think LED Rings all the way!

Right. Only LED is in the eyebrow, and rear light tubes (not sure what the are called?). Brake lights and rear turn signals are still bulbs, and angel eyes are Xenon.
If we could only hold out for the F22 M-series or F32 M-series, I bet we'd get full LED treatment both front and rear. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...12#post9143412 |

Semi off-topic, but I do like these LED 'fog' lights on the Moto GP Pace car (in the lower grill area). Anyone agree, or is it borderline rice?

+1 I liked it a lot too. Would be a good idea in place of no foglights.

Plus they are tiny, so no issue with reduced cooling

BSM looks great in the first pic.. and washed out in the second. Is it safe to say that the first picture is realistic?
