Braking in the rain?

I brought a CPO 2007 335xi last month and I've noticed something quite alarming about driving in slippery conditions. Whenever I'm driving on the highway in the rain and hit the brakes my car seems to skid out a little bit, requiring me to let off the brakes and accelerate a little to regain control. This happens when I'm not driving fast, just keeping up with other highway traffic (55 mph?). This is a serious problem when driving behind another car because if they hit their brakes, I also need to hit mybrakes and am unable to regain traction by tapping the throttle since they're right in front of my car. Anyone else have this problem? I did see another thread posting about this, but that seemed to be an alignment issue. Am I wrong in thinking that alignment would have been checked when the car was certified for CPO warranty?

It's because the brakes are too powerful.

On a serious note, check your tires and alignment. These days CPO is nothing lol

New tires were put on right before I purchased it. Having the vehicle serviced later this week bc my rear passenger window is having problems. Guess if I mention this, they will check alignment as well?
