Spacers
Hi all, i bought a e91 m sport last weekend and i am really enjoying it so far. I am after some info if possible? I would like to space the rear wheels out a little as they look just to far into the arches. What would you recommend the size of the spacers to be, and make? Also what type of longer nuts should i buy? If anyone could put a link to the ones they think would be best, or point me in the right direction that would be great! Thanks again

Oh mate they look really nice, good choice! I have the standard ( i think ) m sport 18", they have been sprayed gun metal grey. Im i really enjoyng the e91, looks classy , goes ok ( 330d, soon to be evolved) and the interior is really well put together ( compared to my 350z) I to had a set of 19" csl reps on a e46 330 m coupe a few years ago, bought them from BM Autosport, looked really good. How are you finding yours?

Yeah mate the cars great. I like the 18" mv3 wheels you have too. Got the csls from bm autosport on a group buy.
Im sure someone on here will give you an idea on spacers with the mv3's. Tony |

Since you're a tree surgeon I'll let you off for not being able to use the search function . Loads of info on spacers in the wheel section but it was discussed here just last week.
There's a number and details of sizes for a good deal in this post http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=493320 Look up CarreraRSR's old car on here. It was an e91 with 20mm rear and 12mm front on wheels that had the same dimensions as yours. I had some links but they don't seem to work anymore.

I'm hoping to get some myself soon although they keep getting bumped down the "to do" list. I've seen a few cars with the 20/12 set up on MV3s but they have nearly all been lowered. I certainly wouldn't go any wider than that.
I think when I come to ordering I'm going to work it out with some proper maths (that'll be fun). Taking the width and offset of my wheels and working out the difference between them and the wheels on Jabroni80s e91. Saw his car in the flesh and the line up with the arches is spot on. Sorry that's not much help.

No worries mate , thanks for the in put anyway. I have taken a look at the rear of my e91 and i dont know but 20mm ones will be flipping tight! Really dont want any rubbing issues.
Anybody else able to recommend what i should be going for? Thanks |

Anybody?........ Looking at 20mm back 10mm front, has anyone done this, will it cause any rubbing? I am on standard m sport e91 suspension with 18" m sport ( not sure which ones) wheels.
Thanks josh |

I run 12mm eibach hubcentric spacers all round with long bolts, just looks right IMO.
Teddy at SSDD Motorsport did a good deal. Only problem is no one makes black long bolts, so if you mix spacers with no spacers you'll have mixed bolt colours which looks a bit poor. Last edited by doughboy; 03-26-2011 at 05:56 PM.. |

Here you go, also some more pics in my garage
12mm front and 20mm rear was a bit extreme. 0mm front and 12mm rear looks as it should and slightly wider over an Lci rear stance. |

Pretty sure db's car is an lci which has slightly wider track. the car above is using 20 rear and 12 front i believe so pretty good indication of how yours would look.
Thanks for that pic carrera RSR. Loved the way that car looked.

Although it looks like it will rub, remember the suspension geometry pulls in the top of the wheel (increased camber) as the car drops over bumps / compressions so it tucks inside the arch.
My 12mm spacers on the rear (LCI car) look like they may rub, but they don't even if it hits the bump stops. |

Really sorry for all the questions but what is ment by lci? Is this the facelift e91? Whats the treack differebce between the 2?
Carrera- was told you run just 12mm on the back now, why is this? Do the 12front 20 rear make the suspension feel odd? Thanks........ again! |
