Valencia Orange and BSM 1M Spotted at the BMW Welt

I was at the Welt last week, and the BSM 1 M Coupe was still on display inside the Welt. I was present at the Welt on Friday, March 18th, when they removed the BSM 1MC from the Welt, and it was replaced with a red E92 318i. According to a BMW representative I talked to, the BSM 1MC on display was a fully functional car, and they were awaiting a special display model for the Welt which would be a non-functional car to allow guests to sit in the interior.

However, on Wednesday, March 16th, while checking out the interior of the X1, I spotted a VO 1er M Coupe pull into the valet parking area under the dual cone. I immediately ran outside to snap some shots, and notice it was, like the AW 1er M Coupe, still "badgeoflauged."

Great pictures of the orange. That's the best I've seen the colour.

Whether or not they are true to the actual car? Could someone verify that?

Great pics. Shows how the VO does look darker when shot on a cloudy German day. I am sure that VO will sparkle on a bright sunny day too.

Thanks, finally some good made shots and glad you spotted one!

So what's your personal impression on the VO? How does it stand out in person compared to the other cars? Does it look special or not so special at all?

ps: Funny thing that this is a US-model.

pps: Even more funny is that this model has Xenon lights. Looks like they equipped it afterwards with it. Because the headlamp washer is missing and that's not even road legal in Germany...yeah yeah

GTfan, thanks for posting pics !

These are the best real-life (non-showroom) pics of VO yet !
And I like them.

Also, these are the first pics of a 1M with aluminum window trim.
Allthough most of you prefer it in black, I'm glad I've seen it now in aluminum, and this is what I'll get.

It also seems that VO color still 'pops', even when the car is somewhat dirty, as you can see in the detail pics.

So VO it will be for me !

Hmm, love this look of VO. But it shows as well that the chrome line is a no go, it definitely needs shadow line.

Right. I just don't like chrome line on sporty cars.

Ah I forgot to mention... the BSM is so classy, looks great as well.

So, I know only that I know nothing (relating to the color choice)...

It's definitely a special color. The shade of orange changes with the light that it is in, which is an awesome effect. Sunny day with plenty of light, the car is a bright, light orange. Cloudy day or night time with less light, it's a darker orange.

I did notice the aluminum trim, and although I would prefer Shadowline, it isn't bad on the VO.

The car was certainly dirty when I took the pictures. You can see the dirt from up close, although from 5 feet away you can't tell. Certainly has an advantage over BSM dirty-wise.

Great real world pics, thx for sharing. Once again confirming what a cool chameleon color the the VO is!

US DOT amber reflectors, yet no shadowline trim (which is standard in the US). Interesting cross. I personally think the VO car looks better with the shadowline, as I am not a fan of chrome on any car (hence why the kidney grills, exhaust tips, and side faux vent blinker element will be among the first things I change)

that's sick, love the valencia orange. the chrome window trim, which is not the typical M shadowline, goes well with it,

Thanks GTFan for posting photos.
I would definitely love to have it in black; even though black is pain in the butt to keep clean.
