How do you install A SonyEricsson HCB-700 in a E90?

I have just bought a E90 320i.
I though that BMW bluetooth was bad and expensive.
Also my brother has an old SonyEricsson bluetooth wired to the radio installed in his E36.
I think this is a better solution than that from BMW, problem is how to install this product. Also I use sonyericsson phones.

It has to be installed to the radio in someway also I would like the phone buttons on the steering wheel (multifunction) on the left side to be connected to the unit.

I really dont know how to install this, maybe it is better to let BMW-service centre install this?

I don't know that anybody makes the adaptors for Sony HCB700.

Parrot bluetooth is preffered by BMW drivers, works fine, and instalation is simple.

Perhaps that is because BMW offers the best integrated Bluetooth system in a vehicle? Huge mistake on your part. You should have ordered integrated Bluetooth.

Next mistake is comparing your MOST-bus car to your brother's car from 10+ years ago which not only doesn't have MOST but doesn't even have I-Bus. How is it possible to compare what one can do in that vehicle compared to something with the level of systems of an E90?

And you want it to work just like the BMW's too?

Using the buttons on the MFL? It sounds like you will have to purchase BMW's after all and then have it retrofitted.

This will probably cost twice as much as if you had ordered the car with it.

Hi Amir

Unfortunate OEM BMW integrates Bluetooth is the best hand free option except to issues of short phone compatibilities list and address book upload.

Yours BT kit will not integrate to the multifunction bottoms and maybe even to your audio system – depends of the type of your sound system. Your options are:
1. Install it without integration (with external speaker)
2. Integrate Bluetooth to your vehicle is the Connects2 adaptor with Parrot 3000 evo, which was just recently approved by BMW SA and assigned part number - please refer to the BMW bulletin below.

I personally recommend to start packing the SonyEricsson kit ……

Total cost was ca. 250 Euro.
I've installed my bluetooth on my own.
