Can't have my 1M till the 14th of May!

I got a call from my dealer today confirming I won't be able to take delivery of my car until the 14th of May!

My car has now been built and will be in transit shortly. It will be at my dealership for my original delivery date, the 20th of April.

However BMW will not let my dealer let me take delivery until the official launch, the 14th of May.

Have any of you heard otherwise? Is this just for the UK?

Happens all the time.. In fact I bet they hold that car at the port until closer to release date... we've had to hide cars before...

who are you to spoil there suprise / event .... ( is there thinking )

Too bad mate! Never know they may use your car at the dealer launch event! J/K!

Will the dealer let you go and visit it?

I would be pissed, but I guess I understand...I would make sure no one was driving it around in the interim time

Makes sense to me. Unless your a BMW big wig.

It will be hard waiting but worth it when you go pick it up. Good luck and congrats!

Yeah it's a shame! They better not use it for any launch event!

Going to see it and not being able to drive it away may be even harder to do...

Looks like my car is here in the UK!

However it's in storage with BMW and won't release it to my dealership untill a few days before the 14th of May.

Further confirmation that I won't be gettimg my car before the official launch.

As you know, a first 1M has arrived @ my dealership last week. It's in the showroom and I drove it. They were waiting for indications from BMW Switzerland but nothing came...

Now they're waiting for their second 1M, which is mine. It will be there by the end of the month (but it was produced last week, so i'm sure it will be there very soon) and still no information from BMW. "Finger crossed", it seems I will take delievry from my 1M the day after it has arrived @ my dealership

Anyway, I'm really sorry for you and as already said : be careful about what they do with your car !! Testdrives and/or 150 person sitting in the car !

Yeah you're a lucky man!
Here in the UK we've been screwed over a number of times by BMW UK.

Anyways, my car will be ready in just over 5 veeks!

Mine was produced last week. I imagined it would be there this week, but nothing. So next week I think...
