Interesting call from my Canadian dealer.
Got a call from my dealer today. Not my sales rep, but the "Financial Manager" (Not sure the correct title.) He said that for the first time since his employ at a BMW dealer, he has been instructed from the company to confirm via "audit" how many 1M's are being ordered by his dealership.
My sales rep called a little later to follow up. Basically, they are trying to find out how many orders that there are versus how many credit applications have been submitted for the 1M. (I guess this is how they determine if someone is serious about acquiring the car or not.) He elaborated by saying that BMW is trying to prevent certain dealerships from "hoarding" allocations and making fictitious orders to get a car in the showroom, followed by what would likely be a sure sale. In any case, it looks like July is going to be the month of production for my first BMW. |

Nice! Have you been granted an allocation yet? You'll have the only one in sk, unless the regina dealer sells a few. It was funny, i stopped by in november to put a deposit down and they had no idea what i was talking about. Seems like the norm with a lot of dealers.

Not sure about Regina. I was going to ask them one of these days. I live about 1 hr from there, but drive in all the time. Is HD your sales rep?
