Here's a little story on the series 1 / / / M in the latest BMW Magazine

they said "Epoustouflante" so "breathtaking" !!!!

"The BMW 1 Series M Coupe is a machine extreme. it is not a distant relative of the BMW 135i but the little sister of the M3. in its sports car body, it conceals more than one asset: a train traveling from light alloy of the competition, powerful composite brakes and rear mechanical differential lock. Developed by engineers of BMW M GmbH, it provides pleasure without compromise."

In French, cars are referred to with "female" words.
This distinction doesn't exist in English.
