In-Dash Stereo Kits
Does anybody know any company that's released one yet? I can't stand the factory head-unit and I'd like to replace it as soon as possible.

Scosche makes one for a reasonable price but BMW does as well. Only downside of the BMW part is that it costs about $120 and comes from Germany(2week wait). But it matches perfectly.

Is the head-unit size the same for the 330i as it is for the 335i? I didn't know that. I can't believe what they're charging just for the frame. Would you prefer the Scosche or the BMW one? I wouldn't mind paying more for quality.

I don't see why a 330i & a 335i dash would be different.
BMW adapter plate has the exact same color & texture of plastic as the heater controls beneath. The price is a kick in the nuts but the match is perfect. |

This has been covered over and over in this forum so I recommend searching. Most cars in the U.S. don't have a headunit anyway; they have either a MID or an Onbord Monitor.

Thanks for the helpful information. I've never owned a BMW before so I really don't know the differences/similarities between models. I do have the basic radio, so I'm just looking to swap it out for the Alpine iDA-X001.
