In-Dash Stereo Kits

Does anybody know any company that's released one yet? I can't stand the factory head-unit and I'd like to replace it as soon as possible.

Scosche makes one for a reasonable price but BMW does as well. Only downside of the BMW part is that it costs about $120 and comes from Germany(2week wait). But it matches perfectly.

Is the head-unit size the same for the 330i as it is for the 335i? I didn't know that. I can't believe what they're charging just for the frame. Would you prefer the Scosche or the BMW one? I wouldn't mind paying more for quality.

I don't see why a 330i & a 335i dash would be different.

BMW adapter plate has the exact same color & texture of plastic as the heater controls beneath.

The price is a kick in the nuts but the match is perfect.

Unless you have the basic radio, you can't really replace the headunit.

This has been covered over and over in this forum so I recommend searching.

Most cars in the U.S. don't have a headunit anyway; they have either a MID or an Onbord Monitor.

Thanks for the helpful information. I've never owned a BMW before so I really don't know the differences/similarities between models. I do have the basic radio, so I'm just looking to swap it out for the Alpine iDA-X001.
