1M at Dallas Auto Show 4/7-4/11
VO 1M at Dallas Auto Show. It's the pace car from Daytona and the C&D review. Wicked stance. I liked the orange but have you noticed that everyone makes an orange car now? I would be tempted if it was more exclusive. No pics attached because you've seen them already. If you live in the Dallas area get over to the convention center. Lot's of other cool cars also. No TTRS but the regular TT was there. Now that is a cramped back seat. I don't know how an average adult could ever sit back there for more than a few mintues. At least the 1 is liveable.

The car was just at the Denver show last week. It looks to have been used a bit as the M decal was worn and the left-side turn signal was loose. Otherwise was very impressed to see it in person. Hope you guys in Dallas get to sit in it -- the Denver folks had it locked.
Oh, and they did have a TT-S (not a TT-RS unfortunately) at the Denver show. Man that is a cramped interior, not for the mildly claustrophobic. |

(2 adults + 2 children, 4 adults) Don't know about US, but here it's illegal to seat +12 year olds in the back of a TT. (because the car isnt rated/certified for it) |

OK, back from the show.
The 1M on display is not the Daytona pace car. The car in Dallas only had 13 miles on it. However, it does have the non-production halogens. There was no Nav in the car, but it did have ZPP. I didn't take but a few pics, I'll attach just one for now. The picture is definitely not representative of the VO. In real life, under the show lights, it was much more of a burnt orange. |

I did get to sit inside for a bit. I was distracted, however, being with my friends as well as having my CA there at the show talking to me about the car. Nice fellow btw!
Being as though I've stared at countless pictures online, and been in other 1-Series before, it was as I expected. However, one thing did stand out: the climate gauges and associated paneling that you get with the non-Nav package look really bad, IMO. They look and feel totally cheap, like they belong on a $20K car. |

One thing I did notice is the show car had a VO-colored licence plate bracket that actually didn't look too bad. Obviously I'm going to pursue the tow-hook option, but the OEM plate holder actually fit the front bumper very well. |
