1M negotiated price and how to find invoice

Looking to start the negotiation process w/ my local BMW dealership and need to gather information on how to find invoicing and what others have negotiated for the car themselves.

First-where can I find a site that gives invoicing prices?

Second-what did persons get the dealer price down too? I'm very interested in this since this sounds like it's going to be a limited model and what leverage I have with them if I just walk in and say i'll give you 1500 over invoice and take it....

This is my first new car so gathering this info will really help me....!!

Thanks!!!!

Sadly, your strategy at this point in time may work with any other BMW car except the 1M. When you walk in, the first thing they are going to do is check how many people are in line in front of you. This being said, they'll have no incentive in selling you one at a discounted price when others are willing to pay sticker.

At first there was plenty of speculation about discounted pricing, ED pricing, and blah blah blah. Turns out, if you are even able to get on the list for one regardless of price, be thankful.

As far as I can tell no one has gotten any discount. My dealer tried to pad the sticker price with a 3k undercoating package.

You might want to have more realistic expectations.

Consider that some dealers quit taking orders/deposits from paying customers, and others have 5+ with deposits down, most dealers I've talked to or read about seem to have no problem moving such a high demand car at full price.

Best of luck to you. If you're looking for a bargain, there are better BMW options to consider.

There are people that got discounts, and I was fortunate to be one of them. Some have made gentlemans agreements with their SA, and won't reveal how much. I believe it is a supply and demand situation. Early on when dealers had multiple allocations and no takers, there was bargaining power. I suspect that there is no longer much bargaining power, as it seems like most dealers have got takers for all their allocations. Your best bet would be to phone around and see if any dealers have allocations that are not spoken for. That is what I did, although it was several months ago.

You just can't draw a straight line in this whole discount thing and especially when it concurns the 1M . It all depends of what the dealership is willing to give.
Some are claiming a 11% discount and others zippo (I asked for a discount and they proposed 5% witch was fine by me)

Some orders in Germany actually have been rejected by Munich due to high discounts. I got offered 5% plus a few extras so I took it and am happy with it. I would just love to buy the car for US prices with 0 disount ... you guys are so lucky getting the 1M for just short of $50K.. Starting price in Germany is $70 big ones - mine comes to $85K....

I actually have a car at VPC Brunswick,Ga. I will donate 1K to the charity of choice of any person who can PROVE they are getting a 1m for less than MRSP. I'm not talking about throwing in M floormats or a tank of gas! This offer is for US dealers not Tasmania or Libya!

I had over 30 dealerships agreeing to something close to invoice pricing. Im sure others got those deals at the same dealerships, I certainly didnt place orders at every dealership.
